The Main Foundations of Your Commercial HVAC System

Read on to learn about the main foundations of your commercial HVAC system!

When it comes to your commercial building’s HVAC system, it is crucial to understand each aspect of it. Hopefully, you will not ever have to deal with the issues in your HVAC system, but if you do, it will be useful to know its main foundations. While you still likely would have to call in the professionals for repairs and the louver contractors from Hercules Custom Louvers for protection, this blog will still help you see who must be called and how fast. Read on to learn about the main foundations of your commercial HVAC system!

Heating the HVAC System: Your Property’s Furnace

Your property’s furnace is the top heating system of your HVAC unit. Both commercial and residential buildings have furnaces, but for commercial properties, as the furnace will be much more strong. The furnace uses plenty of energy to heat the air before moving it throughout the property. A pilot light turns on all of this. Once you mess with the temperature, the pilot light starts, setting off all burners. The heat that is created by burners is then blown through a heat exchanger before it’s moved throughout the property by a blower motor. The process will keep occurring until the desired temperature has been achieved, at which point, your system will turn off. If you own an electric furnace, it will work a tiny bit differently. Instead of pushing a pilot light, electricity will then pass through the heating elements to begin. These heating units are then paired to the resistance coils, which can then lead to blown motors.

Aspects of Air Conditioning with Your HVAC System

The cooling parts and aspects of your HVAC system are more simply known as the air conditioning system. In a lot of businesses, this is crucial to the safety and actual well-being of your employees and equipment, especially if you work in a field with items that could be heat-sensitive. There are four main aspects to your HVAC air conditioner, and these are the compressor, the condenser, and the expansion device and evaporator. Both your heating and cooling are pumped through the building with help from the heating pump. The heat pump will typically need either a water, ground, or air source to work correctly.
